WINTER / 2012
The best looks for winter equate to simplicity touched with glamour… There seems to be influences from the Hollywood 30’s, sharp shouldered 40’s and even the 50’s with full-skirted prom skirts and dresses.

I favour the glamour of 40’s styling because it lends itself well to stretch. We have included long figure hugging skirts and soft sexy silk blouses under easy unstructured coats.
The lengthy tube skirt has been billed as the new legging…so these hemlines are down. There is also a place for the knee length pencil as it works to make legs look slim when worn with opaque hose. A stretch pencil skirt works with every shoe or boot and can even handle casual weekends with ballet pumps and a thick sweater.
A word on colour… The bright colours that really work with a strong neutral background like navy, black or chocolate are azure blue, chilli or teal. Cinnamon and tumeric are ideal for enhancing your gold jewellery which deserves fashion exposure.
My favourite ‘go anywhere’ looks this season are the drapey Merino cardigan jackets in styles 4106, 4109 and 4135…because you can wear them with narrow pants or a skirt.
I have teamed our separate pieces into outfits that body flatter in the photographs.
Enjoy the season and remember....
‘THE MAGIC IS IN THE FABRIC’.
Quality is key when buying your wardrobe essentials....i.e. those pieces you wear daily.
